Terms of Use

1) Introduction
The Terms of Use detailed herein relate directly to your use of the Godalming Chamber of Commerce website either as a member of the public or a member of the Chamber. The Chamber is also referred to as GDCC. The website is owned by and managed for the Godalming Chamber of Commerce, and is accessed through a number of different URLs including but not exclusively www.godalmingchamber.org and www.gdcc.org.uk.

2) Accepting the Terms of Use
By accessing and using the GDCC website either as a visitor viewing the public pages or as a member of GDCC in accessing the members-only section you are automatically agreeing to be bound by the Terms of Use. The same applies to members submitting information to be held on the GDCC database.

If you do not agree to be bound by the terms in their entirety you should cease accessing, using or contributing to the site.

3) Trademark and Copyright
All material published on the GDCC website either through the site’s web pages or held on the members’ database and returned via a search is subject to full copyright, design right and intellectual property rights (whether registered or unregistered) protection regardless as to whether it is marked with a copyright device (c). Where a trademark is in force the trademark device "TM" will be displayed.

4) Website Use and Restrictions
In accessing and using features and applications on the GDCC website that require you to submit an access ID and password you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to protect these and that should you discover either to be compromised that you report this to GDCC immediately.

As a user you are prohibited from posting or transmitting harmful or illegal content, interfering with the operation of the website or effecting actions that create an unusually large load on the website's infrastructure.

Where you utilise the member-only facility for sending an email directly to other member(s) you acknowledge that all content is entirely of your authorship and that GDCC will not be held liable for any content.

By sharing any contribution, including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio with GDCC you agree to grant GDCC free of charge permission to use the material in any way it wants. Copyright in your contribution will remain with you.

All content published to the site is provided in good faith and whilst we use reasonable endeavours to ensure the accuracy of the material we make no warranties (express or implied) regarding accuracy or completeness or fitness for any purpose and we exclude any liability in respect thereof.

In no event will we be liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss or damage which may arise in respect of the site, its use, or in respect of other equipment or property, or for loss of profit, business, revenue, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss. In the event that any exclusion or other provision contained in these Terms be held to be invalid for any reason and we become liable for loss or damage that could otherwise have been limited, such liability shall be limited to £100.

5) External Links
Links to external websites operated by third parties are provided solely for the convenience of users and the provision of such links does not imply any endorsement of or affiliation to such a website. GDCC is not responsible for any information on any such third party’s website.

6) Revisions
As a user you agree to any and all modifications, alterations and updates of the Terms of Use. Such changes become effective upon being posted to the website. Your continued use of the GDCC website will be deemed acceptance of the updated or amended terms.  

7) General

The governing law for the interpretation, application and enforcement of the Terms of Use is the jurisdiction of the laws of England which will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

This is the entire agreement in respect of this subject matter. Should any provision detailed herein be severed the full Terms of Use originally published on the effective date will still apply.
